AMAZING GOD BY DAMIZIONS

2020 is an amazing year. Though it has earned from many a negative label because of its jagged  edges and its twists and turns. The imapct of the pandemic nonetheless has birthed laudable firsts, innovations and trailblazing discoveries in several human endeavours. It is on this note I present to you a debut single from Damizions (Damilare Osuigwe), a Zionese, amazing child of the AMAZING GOD.

God is the theme in this song and love is his totem. It alludes to the greatness of God whose love is ever amazing. His ways, unfathomable. His words stand fast and are ever true. He is not a man whose words straddles between inconsistencies and uncertainties. A truly dependable and reliable God!

God is the voice that speaks and never changes. A rock through which safety is guaranteed. One can not satisfactorily explain his love and that is what makes him amazing. What you can't explain therefore stands in the realm of wonder. Hence, Amazing God.

Notice  the sweetening, sprinkling effect of the ride cymbal, the rapid but  melodious interplay of square drums, the piano and the soft and all too familiar iconic voice. 

Notice also the modulation inbetween the chorus:

               

                Your love amazes me. 

That, I call a perfect finesse.

Another magic I find  interesting in this song is carefully lodged after the  refrain: 

           

                 You are amazing.

The harmony of voices forming the backup is a strong thing on a replay in my ears.
